But wait, there's more!

More snow fell last night -- a lot more! I'm thankful for Goretex hiking boots and gaiters. Here are some more pics:

Check out the icicles on the eaves over the door above...

Can you tell which way the wind blew the snow/freezing rain?

Most snow in 16 years!

It's snow on top, then 1/2" thick ice from last night, then the 10" or so of snow on the bottom. Breaking through the ice every step leaves some bruises on the shins!
This is the vineyard behind us. They have a cute little shop/cellar/picnic area near our fence...

Back up the hill...

Laura likes snow!

Some more snow pics...

...similar to other ones this week, since I run the same road when it's icy or foggy!

Today's 10K run...

...started out snowing heavily.
Then it was just gray for awhile, but the sun was shining out on some of the hills.

Then is was SUNNY (and too warm for the jacket!)...

There's one thing the camera can't do -- and that's take pictures of all the snow sparkles when the sun is shining!

One day later...

...it's cold and sunny and just beautiful!

It's cold outside! :)

First snow of the season!

Got in 9.3 miles on my run/walk/hike this morning - staying up on the gravel road, for it was safer with temps right around freezing and forecast for lower...

This was the end of November...

...it was foggy, sunny, both, and warmer than the usual last-day-of-November!
One of the neighbors' trees is covered in bright, red berries. And the dew was heavy!

Another view, going up towards the ridge...
The last of the tansy, and some cider apples in a few rows that haven't been picked yet. We've not had a heavy frost, and that may be what they are waiting for? And the goats were out in the front pasture again!
Some pea family plants are finishing up, and the grapevines were bare and wet.

More views along the ridge:
The last of the roses are still blooming...
Coming down the ridge is the pear orchard...
More flowers, hanging on as long as the weather is mild. And the hazelnuts are starting to pollinate.
Next stretch of road is an out-and-back -- I was getting the last of the flowers, plus pictures of the field of geese near 'my' school. There must have been close to 1000 of them -- connecting groups and lines of geese going allllll the way across the field. And more flying in to join them!

Back at the geese, my camera was telling me the battery was giving up, so the rest of the run is without pics. A good run - and unseemingly warm for the last day of November!
